Not doing any....I figure that they're only in that room for an hour and the tables are already small as it is....Plus it's an additional unneccessary expense for me with a smaller budget.

Re: Cocktail Hour Flowers
Our wedding is at JT and they provide floating roses in a bowl on all ch tables. Our florist (Flower Michelle) is providing us with roses that match our colors, as opposed to white and red roses that JT provides, to put in the bowls. This is being provided free of charge otherwise we'd have just kept the roses in colors that JT provides. Other than these floating roses, we are not ading anything else to ch as far as flowers go.

Re: Cocktail Hour Flowers
i go back and forth. i was really into flowers when i first started planning, but i find myself wanting to pare down now. i might skip them after all.
my original plan was gerber daisies in a small bowl of water--pretty typical.

I am not doing anything. I think my hall does a floating flower or something.

Re: Cocktail Hour Flowers
Just spoke to FH- he said the exact same thing.... they are only going to be around for an hour... and at our venue- like many of you ladies- guests can go around and the grounds and check it out....So he is firm and hell bent on using that money towards the RH if at all.... I just dont want it too look silly you know....
I dont know... I am feeling a bit overwhelmed today with all the wedding plans....

Re: Cocktail Hour Flowers
We didn't have any large floral arrangements, just a few big ones at the entrance.
Anyway, we had different food stations (Irish since FH is Irish), sushi, indian, and vegetarian. Here are pics.
My Mom made pew wreaths for the church. We are going to reuse them as CP for CH with candles in the middle. Otherwise, NRC was providing candles, and our florist would have added rose petals:
