Cocktail Hour Music

We are booking one band for wedding, and then a friend's small band for the cocktail hour. We are getting married at Estate at East Wind in December.

The band that does cocktail hour can do either jazz or acoustic (i.e. Jason Mraz, Dave Matthews, John Mayer, etc.).

At first we were leaning towards jazz because that is 'classier,' and our venue is kind of fancy. But we both are into music and personally prefer the acoustic type. What do you think would be better?

Re: Coctail Hour Music

LOL I am your first vote :) Go with what you like.. plus, I think that Jazz is like a later in the night type music.. It might be a bit dramatic for the cocktail hour!! I could be wrong though :)

Re: Cocktail Hour Music

could you do half and half? so that way you could start with the jazz and ease into the acoustic for the end of the ch/start of the reception?
