COCKTAIL MUSIC

What type of music are you doing for your cocktail hour?

We have a band for the reception, just trying to think of what would be fun for the cocktail hour.

OUr DJ played music, we did lounge music, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, etc.

we wanted to pay for some strings, but decided to save the money and now we are making a mix CD of jazz music and our hall said that they would play it for us on the overhead cd system they have.

Our band is giving us a piano player to play in the lobby to great the guests. Which you can hear in the cocktail hour room right next door

I'm using my DJ to play music for my CH. I would have probably gone with live music or steel drum if I had a bigger budget.

Most likely something soft and mellow...nothing overpowering. We'll probably use the dj for CH.

We are making a mix CD for the cocktail hour. Our DJ will play during the reception.

Our DJ played music during our cocktail hour. I made up a CD of some of me and DH's favorite songs appropriate for a cocktail hour and they just played that.

I made a mix CD for my DJ, I love music and spent a LONG time picking 90 minutes of songs, oh and I even let DH pick 1!

We had a pianist and a saxophone player at our cocktail hours and they were FANTASTIC- they jammed non-stop, playing a variety of music to create exactly the elegant ambiance we wished for!

We had a full band and a DJ at our reception which were both GREAT as well.
