Cocktail Napkins--What color?

I am about to order cocktail napkins online and I asked my co-worker what she thought about matching the napkins to my theme (pink). She said no because the table cloths will be ivory so I should just order ivory cocktail napkins. What do you think?? They have 2 shades of pink I can order I was going to order 1/2 and 1/2 and mix them together. Or I can order all ivory with black writing.

I would order the napkin itself in ivory and have the font in shades of pink.

I would order white or ivory napkins with pink writing. We are ordering white cocktail napkins our names and date in blue writing (our bridesmaid dresses are blue).

Your cocktail napkin is a way to bring in the color when you have ivory linens. I would do it in pink. Your linens are ivory, it doesn't mean cocktail napkins have to be. Chances of matching your linens exact are slim, I would be more apt to avoid the pink if you were having pink linen.

Cocktail napkins are not set on the table...they will be by the bar and with appetizers ...therefore the color does not matter since most of the time...guest will be holding it with their drinks etc..you can get as creative as you like,,,,

I agree -don't do solid ivory - i think either ivory with the writing or pink, with ivory writing. .

I think the napkins in pink might be better b/c they will stand out and have a splash of color

i ordered napkins in red to match my red theme. my tablecloths were ivory with red napkins. i say get whatever color you want....in the big picture, its not going to matter either way.

I ordered the colors of my weddings.... the purple napkins have silver writing and the blue has purple writing on it... I'll have to post pics. They will only be at the bar, so that's exactly what I needed.. LOL

Get whatever color that YOU like... JMO

Def pick the color you are choosing. They will be at the bar and they can be whatever color you'd like!

Thanks....I did want to do the color but I wasn't sure if it would look overdone. They don't have pink writing so I wouldn't be able to do the ivory napking w/ pink on them.

I am having an all white wedding with accents of red. I ordered my napkins in white with red writing and red napkins with white writing.

I like it when the napkins are 1/2 and 1/2....Do 1/2 in pink for your theme color and the other 1/2 in ivory. I really like how that looks
