Cocktail receptions? Anyone? - Long Island Weddings

I have been to one and I know someone who went to another and the same complaint for both... Not enough food... I think the idea is great for a smaller size wedding but anything over 50 it seems wait staff are not equipped to pass around found. We actually were hunting down staff at one point because we were starving and they always seemed to have empty trays. On the other side guests became tipsy rather quickly with the small quantity of food. But I love the idea, just do a lot of research

Thanks. I def think it would have downsides to this idea. Just getting frustrated looking for a venue.

Re: Cocktail receptions? Anyone?

I remember a bride having a Cocktail Reception at Three Village Inn last year and I specifically remember her saying she had SO MUCH food. Depending on the hall I guess. I think it's a great idea.

Cocktail receptions? Anyone? - Long Island Weddings

Watermill in Smithtown had a cocktail menu for the same price/similiar to a reception wedding. Chataeu Briand also had a cocktail menu but it was more expensive.
