'coctail reception' sites

Does anyone know sites off the top of their heads that allow this? I really would like something different & elegant like you'd attend in the city but on LI.

My best friend had her cocktail reception at Land's End. It was absolutly beautiful. I think that it may be a little pricey though.

The de Seversky Center at NYIT does this - my friends are getting married there this October. It's a beautiful place and the wedding sounds just like what you're looking for.

I'm sorry, I'm a little confused. Aren't you getting married at the Port Jeff Country Club? Or am I reading that wrong?
Anyways, my site offers it and so does the Vanderbilt Mansion. More and more places are beginning to offer this. I think it's a great idea. Something very elegant about it.

I put a deposit down on the PJCC but I want to make sure they're the one before it's too late to get my deposit back. Which is in April after the place is completed.

I'm sorry I was nosey I thought maybe you might have meant a coctail reception for something else, in which case, the places I suggested were probably too big. It's good to be sure!

I am also getting married at De Seversky next October. This place is fabulous for a cocktail reception. They call it a mansion style wedding. You get the full run of the mansion for the day or evening and have tons of food to choose from. I have eaten there many times and the food is delicious. The place is very elegant and different.
