Coindre Hall

Does anyone have prices for Coindre Hall? It's a Lessings facility....I did a search on here but didn't come up with anything...

I looked on their website and while it does provide a price range I was just wondering if anyone had any personal experience with the place?

Also if you have been there did you like it? How's the food?

I'm probably going to be making an appointment this week but I just wanted a heads up.

TIA!!!

Re: Coindre Hall

I was married at Coindre Hall this past September. We absolutely loved it there. Its really a magical place that becomes really special at night. Candles, fireplaces, and a bunch of little separate rooms. Our guests were really impressed.
We went with Andrews Catering b/c they tailored the food and drink more specifically to what we wanted. You can either go with them, Lessings or another company, not sure what the name was. I would recommend Andrews though, the food was awesome and they were very intent on our being happy for that day. There prices were reasonable and negotiable.
Let me know of you have any more questions, good luck!

Re: Coindre Hall

hi. i just saw your post as i'm not on the board that often. we got married at coindre hall in 2006. WONDERFUL place. we used andrew's catering and had a horrible time with them. our initial experience was good but then the planner we were working with left the company. our event was put in the hands of the director - we were really psyched about that b/c we figured, as director of the business, he would be amazing. WRONG. the planning with him was painful - to many examples to name, but a couple of my favorites: we scheduled a phone conference with him and called him at appropriate time, we said hi and told him who we were..and he had no clue!!! this was within a month of our wedding and, given that was the straw the broke the camels back, we were going to try to get another company to do the wedding. the other one that really sticks in my mind was the seating arrangements. he asked us to provide that a week or two before the wedding. we did. we spend the weekend before the wedding making our customized place cards. the wednesday before the wedding he sends me an email telling me that the seating arrangement wasn't going to work b/c he had changed the table size and we were going to have to re-do it. ?!?!?!? we called him immediately and after a 20 minute conversation he agreed to revert back to the original tables that we were promised. OH! also, we were told that they would decorate the hall for us if we brought all the stuff to them (e.g. candles, pictures), but then he told us that we needed to have a decorating party at the rehersal!! (i wound up hiring the original planner to come and do the decorations)

as for the wedding itself.... well, thank god we had a beautiful day and all our other vendors ROCKED b/c andrew's ******. the director snapped at a couple of people in our bridal party before the wedding started, he got into a huge fight with one of our other vendors in front of guests, yelled at a member of his wait staff while the waiter was trying to help a couple of my family members, forgot to put in the cd with our prelude music, verbally attacked my sister when she was helping pack up at the end of the night. oh, yes, and HE FORGOT OUR CAKE CUTTING!!! well, techinically pie cutting b/c we had pies instead of cake, but still. he forgot it! to this day, i still get comments from guests about how they were upset they missed the pie cutting. the only reason we have pictures is b/c my wonderful husband chased the director down and had him put together a plate with a couple of pies on it and then bring it to our table.

ok, vent over. all that being said....

i know lessings has a great reputation. they are a bit pricier and have a set menu. if you are looking for something a little more flexible in terms of price & menu, i would suggest phillip stone caterers as i've heard good things about them and they work out of coindre hall too (or at least they used to)

here's a link to my review if you want info on other vendors. Coindre Hall
