I have been feeling SO NERVOUS lately...kind of like there is too much pressure and I almost feel like I won't be able to handle the big day
I just wanted to vent because I have been feeling really nervous lately and want to know that I am not alone on this. I had a serious cry session yesterday with FH and today with my mom and my sister. Part of me just wants to skip the big day altogether and go RIGHT to the honeymoon!!!
I know I should not be so worried and I should FEEL happy..but sometimes, I really don't and I feel like I have to force myself to enjoy this. I kind of wish, at this piont, that I just eloped!
UGH..is anyone else feeling this way? What do you do to help calm your nerves?

Re: COLD FEET OR FEELING NERVOUS?
I haven't had my big day yet, but I'm sure that many brides go through this. It is okay and when the day finally comes you will be so happy and any tears that you will have on that day will be tears of joy. Good Luck!!

Re: COLD FEET OR FEELING NERVOUS?
the stress really gets to you, especially towards the end. I seriously wanted to bang my head over and over on a daily basis. There was just so much to do, so many big payments to make, so many arrangements and running around. I remember just saying 'OMG it needs to come already' many 08 brides posted feeling the same. Its just the stress and preparation of the big day. I felt like this up until the day before. Day of was the happiest person and all those feelings went away. Hey at that point everything is done lol, when i woke up one of the first things i said was 'OMG thats it no more wedding to do lists WOO HOO' lol
its normal so dont feel bad. Also you are going through every emotion possible, it really is a rollercoaster. I cried non-stop the whole week before my wedding and would cry for no real reason and was so emotional, i was like a crazy person.

Re: COLD FEET OR FEELING NERVOUS?
Your wedding is so soon I think its totally normal for you to feel like this. First of all... think of all the stress you have endured during wedding planning for the past year or so.. Now its only getting worse cause you have to take care of seating charts and finalizing menus etc and even though you have all the bigger stuff done, this littler stuff can really add up and cause stress. Also, at the same time I am sure you are a little sad that the planning part is going to be over and you are going to actually be married... I mean even through all the stress the planning and waiting part is still a little fun right? At the same time I think its also finally hitting you that you are going to be married, which no matter how much u love someone, is still a little scary. Its a huge responsibility.
Just take a step back and a little break from everything. I am sure with your wedding fast approaching you are feeling even more emotions then I sugested. I havent got to this point yet but I know one day I will and I know for me it will result in panic attacks. I am patiently waiting for my d-day.
Just remember its ALL worth it. You are marrying the man you love. When your wedding day comes you are going to be So happy and forget about all the BS you went through.
I hope you feel better soon.
and sorry if I am rambling. I am in a really boring meeting lol

DENISE--I really was hoping you would reply because I think that you are one of the best bridal advice givers on here and reading your stuff always calms me down LOL
UGH...that's how I feel--like a crazy person! One minute I am happy, the next I am nervous, the next sad--I can't take it! I really just want it to be ALL over and it doesn't help that lately it's all anyone talks to me about--I feel like screaming!!
good to know that I am not alone on this and that hopefully I will be just as happy as you were on your day!
I can only hope I will look half as beautiful as you did too!

I feel like I'm going to be the same way. I am already an emotional roller coaster. S*H*I*T I can't even watch a movie without shedding a tear. I have no idea how I'm going to feel when my day approaches.

Aww no, that's okay--it helps me to read this and it actually calms me down so RAMBLE AWAY LOL!
but yeah, it is A LOT to take in all at once..so I am totally overwhelmed. We are going to finalize our menu on Monday, still haven't booked our honeymoon, have to do table arrangements--AHHHHH! When will it end?!
and yes, the planning has definitely been fun, but I am totally over it! The less time you have to plan, the better I think otherwise you will be stretching out your worrying LOL
Hopefully when your d-day comes, I will be over my stress and will be able to help you like you are helping me.

you are not alone. FH keeps asking me if I have 'cold toes' and that he'll warm them. But it is alot to think about.

FH asks me too 'do you want to still marry me?' and I always say 'No!!! Let's just go straight to the honeymoon'

Re: COLD FEET OR FEELING NERVOUS?
Hey Penny-
It is totally normal. Especially on LI, there is a lot of pressure put on this one event/day. There has been so much time leading up to it.
FH and I knew we were getting engaged for a while, it was all I wanted to 'officially' happen. Once it did, I should have been over the moon. Instead? I was queasy for 3 days straight! There's a lot to be said for anticipating something when it finally happens.
It's like an anticipation hang over! LOL!
It is totally normal and you will get through it.
Let me know if there is anything I can do.
HTH!

Re: COLD FEET OR FEELING NERVOUS?
Hi Deb,
Thank you so much!
You know, you sometimes feel like this should be THE happiest time in your life but in reality, it's SO stressful! I am looking forward to marriage, but all of this work is just TOO much and at the end of the dya, who can you really blame, except yourself?
it's like a double edged sword!
The only thing that I will ask of you and all of you other girls is to help keep me calm..LOL. believe it or not, sometimes reading posts on here just totally makes me feel good. Probably because I know I am not alone!

Re: COLD FEET OR FEELING NERVOUS?
I think that these are normal feelings. And even if others dont go through these feelings, we are all different. Marraige is a huge step and I think depending on the kind of person you are, a person can go through different emotions leading up to the big day. And we all know how STRESSFUL it can be to plan for a wedding. You'll get throught it, keep your head up!

And yes I have felt like eloping myself sometimes...lol. Just take a step back from all the planning if you can and enjoy time doing other things with FH.
