So, I am sick as a dog, fever/chills can't stop coughing, and about 7 weeks pregnant. I have robitussin DM in the house and Sudafed. I call the OB, and the sec'y tells me, nope can't take that. Can take Robitussin plain, and Tylenol cold. So, I send my dad to the store for me. He comes home with the tylenol cold. The two other ingredients are sudafed (which they said I couldn't take) and dextromethorphan, which is the 'DM' in the Robitussin DM they told me I couldn't take. So, basically, a wasted trip. I call them back, and they're like, well, we have tylenol cold on our list, so you can take it. Holy ignorance. Anyone know what I CAN take for sever congestion and cough? I wouldn't even care, but I must go to work, and can't function like this. Plus, my husband is away, so I'm taking care of the baby and coughing right in her face every 5 minutes.

Re: Cold Medicine VENT
I asked my Dr if I could take Tylenol Allergy Sinus and he said yes. So I can't see why you can't take Tylenol Cold. Does your office have an RN? Ask her. The RN at my new OB's office was very helpful yesterday with suggestions for constipation.

No, they don't have an RN, which is part of the reason why I am switching practices. They have secretaries giving out medical advice, and then they cop a huge attitude if you challenge anything they say.... THANKS so much for that list, I am taking a sudafed right now!
