There is one in Levittown and every time we drive by, it is packed! One Friday night we were coming home and hubby noticed a short line and turned in (we have been wanting to try it for a long time, but it is always sooo busy). Anyway I had some Chocolate Peanut Butter Creation and Chris had Apple Pie A'La Mode. It was expensive (for ice cream, we thought), but soooo good! It was so creamy and yummy - we couldn't finish it so we froze them. Not as good day 2.

Where in Massapequa?
On Merrick road in the shopping center with Ace Hardware and Gino's Pizza. Across the street from Burn's Park.
Thanks- I was hoping it would be closer- I live in Farmingdale

My favorite icecream is still Breyers Cookies N'Creme.
I think Breyers Ice Cream is the best .. I hate when Ice Cream tastes 'gummy' .. Breyers is simple .. and good .. love the Mint Chocolate Chip!! (And Chocolate Cookie Dough!)
We tried Cold Stone Creamery .. and I do admit .. I had trouble too .. because it was crowded .. and I felt it was hard to understand how it all worked .. like the sizes, the flavors, etc. We settled on the Black Forest something-or-other .. and it was yummy .. but I want to try it again, when we can figure it out better at a less crowded time.
For those in need of help, like me, I just found a website for them .. now I can study this before going next time! Cold Stone Creamery

Re: Cold Stone Creamery
They have Cold Stone Creamery in San Antonio, lots of locations for years.. I loved that place. They had another place similar as well. So I’m used to this type of ice cream.
I am on a fix of Amaretto with bananas and crushed sugar cone. YUMMY!
It’s a great place to try out new mixes of stuff. But if you like your ice cream old fashioned then it’s really too expensive of a place to go. I’ll agree with that.
But if you like to risk it all, I think it’s worth it. Money-wise.
But OMG, the one over at the Source (closest to me) is always so frantic. A person has to KNOW what they want as they wait in line. This is always a pet peeve that people chit chat and don’t pay attention to the line then get there and say “Hrm….. what do I want?” I think this has a lot to contribute to the frantic mess of people they have.
For a ‘newbie’ as it were, I think they should go with friends who can help them understand how it works and go at a time when it’s supposed to be a guilt free cash spending event. JMO

Re: Cold Stone Creamery
I LOVE CSC!!!
So much so that I dragged two of my friends to the Times Square location - the weekend they opened!! Talk about your crazy lines, but CSC is more about the atmosphere and novelty of creating your own personalized ice cream, so yeah, it's a little more expensive than Carvel's just down the street :) There's one right by us in Levittown and DH took me when they had the ice cream social benefit for the make a wish foundation. It was a little crowded, but nothing crazy, only about three people ahead of us in line. I absolutely love their ice cream! AND, since this year will be the first time in FIVE YEARS that DH won't have to work on my b-day (12/24 - he never had the day off, his old boss was such a jerk!!), he promised to treat me with an ice cream cake from CSC! It ehlps that I have the most wicked sweet tooth too!! I think it's the yummiest ice cream ever, and definitly a luxurious treat!!

yea. we went in queens and the line was out the door! it was insane...and when the guy rang us up i was like:
I live at that Cold Stone and the kids behind the counter are great. The singing is annoying but so worth it. It is expensive because all of the flavors are made by hand. Like the strawberry shortcake you had...real strawberries, pound cake and whipped cream. They make it all and it is not from a box. I absolutely love it.
