Color Issues
So now with less than six months before my wedding I'm having a color scheme breakdown. My colors were originally going to be charcoal with hints of light pink. My bm's were going to wear charcoal dresses with pink bouquets, my menus were going to be gray, my invitations were going to be gray/black etc. Now, after thinking about my venue, I feel like gray is too 'cool' of a color and will clash with the gold chairs and dark wood everywhere. I originally was going for a modern chic look but now I find myself leaning towards a romantic/traditional feel. I dont know what I was thinking when I originally chose gray knowing the vibe the reception hall gave off (warm, cozy, chalet-like) and now I feel like the gray is just too modern/cold.
Do I change colors? What spring color scheme would go nicely with my venue? FH is against brown and I just don't know what to do now.

I loveee light blue with browns. So it would go great against the dark wood.

Color Issues
Ugh this was an issue for me. My room is basically all gold so I am doing pink with gold and small accents of blue. Did u order the BM dresses yet? I know I didn't want gold but I also didn't want my colors to clash. But now I LOVE the gold.

I don't know how much you have done, but if it's possible to change your colors - go for it! Sage, gold, pinks, or even a warm purple could be pretty! If you already ordered dresses and invites - I wouldn't sweat it too much!

Color Issues
I started with the scheme of pinks and greens (light to dark shades of both). I'm horrible at making decisions, especially so far in advance, so I figured 'shades' would give me a lot of flexibility. The more I've been looking and planning, the color grey has sneaked into the color scheme in a major way. I still love the pinks and greens but since my BMs are between the ages of (29-46), with the exception of two JBMs and a FG, I felt uncomfortable putting them in shades of pink so I've instead decided to do shades of grey. (I know, I know) Plus the girls should hopefully be able to wear them again and again, and I'll be able to borrow them...lol The JBMs will wear shades of pink and the FG will be in blush.PS, my RH walls were originally yellow with bronze light fixtures and copper in the ceiling when we booked. They have recently undergone some major renovations and the walls are now white and silver and all of the accents are silver. YAY!!!!!

IMO gold and pink is classic and romantic. Exactly what I want for my wedding. I think embracing the gold is the way to go

Pink is perfect for spring - if you didn't want to change it too much, you could change the grey to silver, it would match the wood and the gold better. If you brought in a few touches of light green, those three colors would look romantic and spring-y.

Re: Color Issues
Hi hall twin!Have you considered a darker shade? I'm doing burgundy with silver accents. While the silver and gold might not be everyone's ideal, I don't think they'll really clash. Especially since silver is just my accent color and I think the burgundy will look great with the dark wood and exposed brick.
I know it's not a very summery color, but it's MY color, and I've had quite a few people tell me it will be just fine for an August wedding.

Re: Color Issues
My venue is Chalet like as well and I am doing a sage green and pink for my maid of honor. I also think though that light blue would be gorgeous too also depends on the dress. Spring colors are sooo pretty whatever you choose will be just perfect :)

Color Issues
So I bit the bullet and had my girls order watermelon dresses....gray and light pink are no longer in the equation. I am going to use silver candelabras and people are trying to assure me that they will look fine with the gold chairs - crossing fingers!! Thanks for your help guys!

Are you planning to have uplighting? and what time is the reception? If your having an evening reception and plan to have up lightening and dim lights i think your colors will work fine. But if your really worried you can find two colors to go along with the gold (however i think gold and silver/grey looks great as long as you have one pop of color)
Good Luck
