I went to the Wedding Plaza in Floral Park the other day and I loveeeeeed one of the dresses there – but the only one they had was with a goldish bodice and ivory skirt. Like since it was gold the beads were goldish and the stitching and stuff was gold – when it’s white or ivory it’ll be more silver and I’m afraid it’ll look different. (In general I like silver better than gold though, so maybe I’ll like it even more.)
It’s so hard to spend so much $$$ when you can’t see exactly what you’re getting! Was anyone else nervous about ordering a dress in a different color than the one they tried on?

I definitely was and they didn't really have anything similiar to my dress to show me a comparision. I was like what is the difference between white, diamond white and ivory! I think I made the right choice....I hope!!! Nah I love my dress! Does it show you the different color on the website?

Sorry, i didnt have that prob. All the stores i went to had my gown in the color i ordered it. I was told by one of the consultants that shes seen girls ordeer the dress in white and then question if it was the same gown bc the beading hardly shows up.... So i would def be a little worried about that... You should ask the store what others reactions have been if they got it in a diff color

i had the same issue with a sophia tolli dress i loved....the sample was gold and the lace applique really blended in well...which is what i want. but i was worried about when it was in white that the beading would stand out too much, which i dont like. i actually called a bunch of stores to see if someone had the sample in the white and i found a store. thank god bc i wasnt crazy about it in the white. it's so hard to imagine what a dress will look like in another color.
on a seperate note, how was the wedding plaza? i want to go there bc i know they carry blue by enzoani and anjolique which are two lines i like that i havent gotten to try on yet.

Why not call other salons to see if they have it in the color you want to try on?

my sister ordred her dress in a different color from DB. She tried it on in white but ordered it in Ivory with a champagne sash

I know what you mean. The sample of my dress is two-toned but I ordered it in all ivory...I am very anxious to see MY dress!

The website shows it in white... I think... it doesn't even tell you what color it's shown in.
I don't love it as much on the website but I also think dresses look so different in person. GRRR!

Ooh did you try on that Sophia Tolli at Lillette's? if so I think I know which one you're talking about, I loved that too but couldn't picture it in white.
Wedding Plaza was good, they don't have a HUGE selection but there were a lot that I really liked. The woman that helped me was good too, I picked out like 5 to try on and she kept looking for more dresses similar to the ones I liked. The two that were my favorites were actually ones she picked out!

Yeah good call... I'm just lazy. I'm going to try to go to RK Bridal in a few weeks and since they have so many dresses maybe they'll have it there... if not I guess the phone calls will have to start.

yes the sophia tolli one was at lillette's! village bridal has it in diamond white, but i wasnt jumping up and down when i saw it. i have been to like 9 stores so i think i may try the wedding plaza next.
