This may sound like a stupid question, but I will ask it anyway. I'm looking to buy a simple unity candle and it seems that it's cheaper at stores like Pier 1 Imports than wedding stores. Does it matter what kind of candle I get? Can it be colorful or does it have to be white or ivory? My FI and I do like candles and if we can have a colored unity candle, we might get one. Any opinions?

Re: Color of unity candles?
our church specified a size, and we ended up just buying it through them. It was a simple ivory pillar, but I don't see why you can't have any color you want.

We're getting married at our reception hall. Maybe I need to talk to my rabbi about the color of unity candles.

You don't have to buy a Unity Candle per se...Just buy some regular candles and jazz em up a little bit.
Here is my middle candle. I'll have 2 matching tapers beside it.
