Ladies, what color dress do you have or do you plan to get? I ordered Ivory, but my FH is now telling me that he would prefer white, as ivory will just look like a dirty white. Maybe he doesn't know what he's talking about, but I do want him to like the dress. Thoughts? I am fair skinned. The wedding is in August, so I could have a light tan, but I never get very dark.

I wanted ivory but my dress didn't come in ivory so I got diamond white.
One of the dresses I was trying on was ivory and my brother goes 'you look so good in white!' and the consultant was like actually, that's not white, it's ivory
He won't be able to tell the difference, unless it's like.. a rich, antique, yellow ivory which most gowns aren't.

I have an ivory dress. I think my dress looks very close to white. When I tried on a diamond white dress, I looked so pale because my skin is very fair

I 100% wanted a white dress, but I ended up getting ivory and I am so happy I did! I went to Priscilla of Boston, and they do not carry any samples in white. They said that to them, ivory is more regal and elegant. And the ivory on their dresses really does flatter everyone! I have dark features, so naturally I though white would look best, but I loooooove ivory on me!

My dress is white but I agree with the other some shades of ivory you can not tell aren't white unless you hold something white to it.

i was so back and forth with ivory and white...and when i told my fiance he was like really you got ivory. I told him though that the white just didn't look that good on me and the ivory was much more natural. He said okay you know best. I'm sure he will like if after he sees it on you

Thanks all! It seems like most brides are getting ivory. My dress actually comes in 'ivory' and 'light ivory'! I'm leaning towards the light ivory, as a compromise.
