how did everyone decide on a color scheme? i'm having such a hard time deciding..
and i really want to avoid the pinks and purples.. and i feel like that eliminates a lot of my choices.

for me it's b/c i love the color yellow - plus the fact that it's a june wedding.

mine kinda fell in my lap randomly ... i chose multi-colored centerpieces so that didn't help ... but when i saw my BM dresses, i didn't like them in any other color but red. so our color scheme is multicolored but mostly red lol

i'm not really doing a color scheme. my BM will have all have the same color dresses but i'm not sure what color yet. when i find the dress that everyone likes, i will pick the nicest color that dress comes in.
my CP i'll design with my florist when i get closer to the wedding. I know they will be tall stands - maybe a ball of flowers up on top.

I always had a vision and it just kinda started to come together - ive had a vision of the colors for years!!
You have TONS of options - just google 'wedding boards' under the 'images' options and tons will pop up that could inspire you

i love lilies, so i'm planning on having a variety of them throughout the day. stargazers, calla lilies, etc..
so that makes it even harder to plan with!
yellow is a great color... but all of my bm's are asian... so with their complexion.. the yellow doesn't look too right.....

My favorite colors are green, blue and yellow. I orginally was going for a blue/green theme but thought that green and yellow would be nicer because I'm now running with this wole springtime theme.

i actually read somewhere that yellow is very versatile and flatters a lot of skin tones, IF you chose the right yellow. I think for asian complexions, you need to stay away from the paler yellow. I'm going with a more bright or the goldish yellow.

interesting idea...
at first, i was thinking of possibly doing like a tiffany blue or a silver... but since it's a spring wedding, i want a more colorful/playful color..
i'm at such a loss...

i love thus kind of thread lol but i did a quick search and here is what i found
I knew I had to have cherry blossoms, so I definitely needed to incorporate pink flowers....then I just tried to find a color that goes with pink for my BM dresses and other details. Originally I was thinking green, but am going to use deep purple/plum instead!
I don't think pinks and purples limit you, but I do understand not wanting to use them
For me, I saw the Cornfower/eggplant/magenta combo in The Knot magazine and I was sold. Loved it.
If you're going to use Lillies for a June wedding, I'd probably do like... pinks, corals and oranges. You can put the girls in coral or tangerineish or peachish color and that would be super flattering ont hem, I think... the stargazers come in those colors, you know?
And then you could use yellow for accents... it would be a very bright fun feel with those colors. If I were having a more summery wedding I'd totally consider that, actually!
The colors of the ribbons int he middle of this board are the scheme I was kinda thinking of... of course you can make some of the colors brighter or less saturated depending on how edgy or soft you want (pastel or bold, KWIM?)
I do enjoy the hints of blue as well, though...
Anyway, I thinkt hat's enough from me, now, eh? lol

all you girls have such great ideas!
the pitfall that i fall into is the fact that i love lilies and they are typically pink.. but i dont want to do pink... also the BM's dont want to wear pink..
