My dress is ivory and the BM dresses are chocolate.

my dress is also ivory and my BM dresses are also chocolate brown. i think we're having our guys wear ivory though. and then my FH will be wearing this lighter brown vest that goes well with the BM dresses. or i could have it reversed. either way - those are the two things we're doing, i just forgot who's wearing what.

My guys are wearing red vests, though they aren't all red. They have small black diamonds on them so it isn't too red.

My groomsmen are just wearing black vests. I don't particularly like colored vests, but that is just me. My bridal party is also wearign choc. brown-so brown vests would def. Not go. Although, there are times when I think the colored vests look really nice!
My FH will be wearing a white vest

I don't think its promish at all. I am thinking of doing this my girls are in pistacio and im thinking of the guys doing the light green vests to match. I think its cute and looks great in Pics.

My girls are wearing black and pink dresses. My guys are all wearing black vests. I'm not a fan of colored vests -- it looks prom-y to me. JMO tho.

other than black, I thik ivory, brown, grey and silver are totally neutral and fine... the other colors are more tricky, and can look a bit prom-y in my opinion....

I think FH is going to wear black & the rest of the guys will have dark red vests. I think the colors are nice & not at all too prom-ish.

That's what I would do!

Its a personal preference, but its too prom-ish for me.
My girls are wearing Navy and the men are wearing dark silver vests.

I'm wearing white with silver embroidery, and FH is wearing light silver.

I think as long as you stick to darker colors you should be fine.
Thebright colors do look a little too much like prom!

My guys are in silver - FH put his foot down and said no purple but I thought black was too plain so we agreed on silver.

These were my colors as well. The gms wore brown vests and ties and I think they looked great! Check my albums for pics.
