Re: Colors
My wedding is on October 11th and I knew that I wanted fall colors from the beginning!
I decided that I wanted sunflowers as the BM BoKs and I thought brown would look the best along side the flowers. Sooooo my BM are going to wear chocolate brown.

Re: Colors
Don't know of any specific method of choosing colors other than what you like! For Fall, I love any combination of browns, reds, oranges, yellow/gold... love the idea of chocolate with burgandy or with a beige/champagne color...

Re: Colors
Hello there, I just got married in Oct. 07' and used chocolate brown and wine (dark red) as my main colors. The BM's dresses were brown w/ a wine sash. I love the combination together. Our accent colors were gold and yellow. It looked really nice & very seasonal. check out pics in my album if you are curious on what those color combos look like. Good luck picking colors & planning!

Re: Colors
I am getting married on September 19 and really wasn't sure what my colors would be until I saw a bridesmaid dress in chocolate brown with an ivory sash. I worked my floral / decor color scheme around using fall colors.
You can incorporate Burgundy into your color scheme through flowers, linens, etc.

Re: Colors
take a look at flowers - you might have more limitations in flower colors than dress colors....
I think most people get inspired by one thing and go with it - weather its a dress, flowers, accessory, etc...

I agree that most people get inspired by 1 thing and go with it. I had seen a chocolate brown dress with a latte sash in a magazine and was like I love those dresses in those colors, I totally want them for my BM. Considering I'm getting married in November, I figured it'd be a nice fall color. And then I started planning things around those colors - so at this point I'm going for a Chocolate/Fall themed type of wedding.

Re: Colors
I am getting married at the end of August and using fall colors. Brown, camel, taupe and sunburst colors for my flowers, red orange and yellow. After watching Platnium Weddings yestarday I saw that a girl did brown and deep red/burgundy and it looked great and made me think....Should I change my colors? I love the way it looked and I think it would work for you.

Re: Colors
alot of things went into the reason y we picked our colors. We are doing chocolate brown and pink. Pink is my favorite color. i think pink and brown go great together. Also as our favors we are doing a donation to the breast cancer society... breast cancer color is pink. Also our centerpieces it turns out the flowers i want only come in pink and a few other colors i'm not crazy about. Also we are adding brown branches to the CP. so pretty much thats how we got our colors.
