Re: Colors
I found my color scheme in a magazine. It all depends on the feel of your wedding. If you want to go for a glamorous old Hollywood feel you could do something like a crimson red with a turquoise. If you are going romantic you could do a baby pink with gold.
I would start out by trying to peg the feel then think of colors that you like that fit that mold.

How did you guys choose your colors?

You start by just thinking about what colors you love.....or you can pick them according to your season.
Flowers you wanna match the colors you choose so you dont have to do that right away. I would start with the BM colors first Lis

Re: Colors
I picked the color I love. And then I did research which colors match to my favorite color

Re: Colors
I wanted bright tropical colors. So I decided on a bright cornflower blue and hot pink.

I knew I wanted really bright pink flowers then decided that slate grey would go best with it

Re: Colors
i'm obsessed with purple so it was an easy decision lol.
I love the darker purple better and my bf is using lighter purple for her wedding so that was also an easy decision.
And it's funny.. short story in HS my sr. math teacher wrote in my yearbook, 'i love purple too, it's the color of royalty'
So... i'm using deep rich looking colors to go with the purple and a touch of raspberry or hot pink here and there.
also, if you don't have a favorite color just start looking around and see which color combinations you like together from magazines, photography, etc.

Re: Colors
i always loved red so i knew i wanted to use that despite the month i ended up getting married in. then from there i toyed around with red color combos
it was a toss up between red, pink and champagne red and gold red, black and white
i discussed it with FH and we came up with red, white and black. i found it very classy and clean and gave me a lot of options to work with for decor and details

Re: Colors
it took me a really long time, but it is totally worth it because the colors help set the mood for the whole wedding. I did a lot of research in magazines and on the knot. I always knew I wanted to include elements of gold, and i wanted fall ish colors and I love red. Then it finally hit me... black and white wedding. Plus it goes with the old hollywood feel i want to convey.

Re: Colors
I wanted a fall wedding and a brown seemed to fit well. And most people look good in it, so thought it would be a good color for the bms to wear

Ditto. Except I never even thought of red and pink. I always knew I wanted red, white and black, and I'm throwing a little silver in too. But I've known for years that my main color would be red.

I knew I wanted something chic and classic as well so I went with Black, White and Silver and red is what I am throwing a little of in there. Even though red is my favorite color i didn't want to be so obvious. But all my flowers will be red..lol.

Re: Colors
I was gonna go with pink dresses but when I went dress shopping, we looked at bridesmaid dresses next to my dress, and figured that brown would be better. We're going with champagne tablecloths and pink roses flowers for centerpieces. So the color scheme is brown and champagne with touches of pink. You will probably change your mind about this a bunch of times so don't worry

Re: Colors
I ALWAYS wanted a wedding with red as my main color...and then I decided I wanted a winter wonderland wedding. As soon as I decided that, red went out the window! So now I'm blue and silver with some dark purple as a semi accent color...there are so many great color schemes out there. Google image wedding colors and so many pop up...or, do what I did...go through the review of past brides on here. They post BEAUTIFUL pictures of their weddings and you get a chance to see what colors will look good.
