Are you matching your bridesmaid dress color to your reception decor? Are you picking a color that is different but from the same color palette?
Do you feel that your reception is a completely separate entity and matching isn't necessary?

I'm planning on having everything silver and tiffany blue. Bridesmaid dresses are tiffany blue with a silver sash, linens will be ivory. I'm going to try to stick to those but I'm not stressing too much because I don't think our guests will really notice.

We are going to match dresses to decor. Our colors are navy blue and lime/apple green so the ladies will be in navy dresses. I've been to a wedding where the decor didn't really flow with the dresses/flowers but I ONLY noticed it because I was waiting to get engaged and paying attention to all things wedding. I brought this up to my FH the other day and he was like 'what do you mean it didn't match? I don't get what you're talking about.' haha so I think we pay more attention to things matching than other people.

Yeah. It is tough. I am torn. Our colors are white, cream, silver and ice blue. Looking at the colors of the ice blue bridesmaid dresses, I am not loving at all. We are getting married in January so I am hoping for snow & it is most likely going to be gloomy and the color is looking washed out. (Based on google images) I was thinking that if I incorporated another type of blue, a darker it would POP! Well based on google images it does but I am worried that it won't go with our reception. My mom says it absolutely does because it is from the same color palette and the reception is different. I am stressing OUT!!!

I am thinking of having a nautical theme. That being said the main color will obviously be navy & that is the color I plan on having the girls in. Their flowers will be whatever accent color we end up going with.

Everything will be chocolate brown and rust orange. My BMs will be in chocolate brown dress, my MOH will have a rust dress. Boquets and centerpieces in the reception will be the same as well as place cards, table numbers, etc :)

My bridesmaids are wearing black dresses with white sashes and my MOH is wearing a black dress with a red sash... they are all carrying red roses... and my flowers at the reception are red! The only thing I havent decided yet is whether I want red uplighting or blue uplighting... I dont know if the blue will clash with the red... but I am not a big fan of red uplighting!Oh, the decisions....

What color is your reception? I think a deep blue like a navy would pop if it does snow and you have a wintery like day. Also most people tend to be a bit paler in the winter so unless all your goes go tanning or spray tanning the ice blue might wash them out with the skin tone as well. If your reception hall has neutral colors I don't think going from ice blue to navy blue should make a major clash.

The reception is white/ivory and accents of silver/ice blue. Mostly whites/ivory/silver though. That is what I am afraid of is the ice blue washing everyone out. This is so hard I really have NO idea what I am going to do.

I think a dark blue goes and matches with white/ivory and silver/ice blue they are neutral its not like say there is pinks and reds or something bold to compete with. I think going with the darker color will in the end match and your pictures will come out nice cause the contracts of warmth in the colors against skin tones, and background.

i'm not trying to match the room really... but my colors are silver, black and icy blue as the accent color.my MOH is going to be in a black dress OR a charcoal grey dress and the rest of the girls will be in which ever color my MOH isn't in (does that make sense?)
the table linens will be silver. the centerpieces will be silver and the icy blue.
my venue is getting new carpeting this spring so i'm not sure what color it will be but I don't forsee a lot of my guests looking at the floor...
