Come to FL - Price of home

I finally got my photo's developed.

I will post them later or tomorrow, but I scanned this one pic for now.

Its a base price for a custom built home

Yeah but you'd have to live in one season year round, warm/sticky and then hot/sticky....

That price is why so many people are moving out of NY. The houses here are so expensive.

Even though I could buy that house almost four times over with what we paid for our house here - you couldn't PAY ME to move to Florida.

Nice place to visit....wouldn't want to live there.

Can't beat that price with a stick... butttttt I do like the cooler weather, and definitely the 4 seasons.
Maybe to retire to, even then I think I'd prefer New England.
I can visit my parents in Jupiter, FL if I get the urge to sit on the Lanai and shop at Publix...

where in flroida is this? I would move in a sec ifmy sister lives down there..if my Inlaws decided that this is where they were going.. we would move...

I have to agree with the humidity....I could not take it....

but you can't beat the price...even if you got all the upgrades!!!

The area is near Port Charlotte. Its about 30 min south of sarasota.

I love publix...they have great fried chicken

Claud - my sentiments exactly! My ILs live in FL and I have yet to visit them once! (bad, I know!) but I really cannot stand FL - Key West is nice, but that's about it for me

what a life to have houses in that price range, that price DOES look more like a down payment in my eyes...

my friend in Arizona bought a home brand new, for what my down payment was..

I love living in New York, but those prices sure are tempting...

Its so scary how that price is the base price of the house. (all appliances except washer and dryer are included in the house)

Friends of ours I think had the best deal, no money down, no money at closing. They had to pay 350 dollars and it was to cover all the permits, but when the house was finished the builder sat by the front door holding the keys to the house and a check for 350 dollars. so they got their money back

They are in their home 2 years and have had not one problem.
