comfortable wedding shoes - flats or heels?
I am undecided as to whether I should wear flats or heels to my wedding. I am 5'9' and my fiance is 6'5', but I am afraid heels are going to rip my feet apart. I really like the Badgley M. 'Lacie' shoe, but with it having a 3 inch heel I'm afraid that might kill me too.Any advice?

Re: comfortable wedding shoes - flats or heels?
I'm probably going to wear 3 inch heels, and then change into flats when it is later into the evening. I am 5'7' and FH is 5'10' so I don't want to look too much taller than him. Plus I know my feet won't be able to handle 12+ hours in heels

Re: comfortable wedding shoes - flats or heels?
What about wearing heels you love for the ceremony and pics and platform flip-flips for the recption? This way you can still be tall yet comfortable while you are dancing!

LOLLLL Platform flip flops?? Unless it's 1997, it is not okay to be wearing them. ESPECIALLY to a wedding.
I say do whatever you feel more comfortable in. There are some comfy pumps out there (believe it or not). Have you ever considered a wedge pump? You can always grab a cheap pair of heals and wear them around the house to try and get used to walking in them. Otherwise I think flats would be okay. YOUR wedding YOUR choice!

I'm planning to do the same! Heels for pictures and ceremony and then flats for dancing!

I see a million girls do that! No one sees your feet at your reception! I mean I'm not doing it but it was just a suggestion

Re: comfortable wedding shoes - flats or heels?
A lady at work told me that she ordered ballroom dance shoes for her wedding and it was the most comfortable pair of shoes she ever wore. It is definitely something I am looking into for my wedding.

I plan to wear a low heel (hopefully I find 1 I like) for pictures and ceremony. I will be switching to flats for the reception.

Re: comfortable wedding shoes - flats or heels?
When I was a BM I wore these heels by Nina that I got at DSW. They were adorable, I got a lot of compliments and seriously I was fine with them on all night. I think Badgley Mischka might have a good reputation for being comfortable as well but I'm not sure.People DO see your feet all night even if you think they don't. It just depends how important it is for you.

Re: comfortable wedding shoes - flats or heels?
I'm short... but I am like the worst short person ever because I HATE heels. I find them uncomfortable and I just can't walk in them haha. So I found a pair of shoes that (thank God) are super comfy and are a very low heel. If you're afraid of heels hurting you, opt for a lower heel and bring flats for the end of the night. By the end of the night, no one is gonna care what shoes the bride is wearing

This! Ballroom brands are wonderful. Seychelles also makes fantastically comfortable heels that have a great style to every pair - I saw one on Weddingbee that just might be THE pair for me

I'm 5'3 and FH is 6'4, so I will be wearing heals for the ceremony and the beginning of the reception but then def doing flats!

Thanks girls. But if you switch to flats, won't the dress really drag?
