Where did you get yours from? We do not know if we are having a little boy or girl, so I'm looking for somewhere that has a decent selection of neutral outfits. I really wanted something nicer than just a onesie. Most stores have mainly pink or blue and only one or two things in yellow and even less have green, which is very frustrating.
Also, do you think if I wait until the week after Christmas (to avoid the crowds) I'll still be able to find winter clothes? I'm due at the end of February, so it will still be cold.
TIA! Cathy

Re: Coming Home from the Hospital Outfit
You should be fine getting an outfit after Christmas. I got my comming home outfit from Denny's. I knew I was having a boy so I was looking for mostly blue things. I don't remember what neutral outfits they had, but I'm sure they have something. Congrats!!!

Babies R Us lets you return things with a receipt very easily - I bought a pink outfit and a blue outfit, because I knew i would be so excited to dress my little girl or boy in pink or blue! It was a girl, so we used the pink outfit, and I wound up keeping the blue one for her too!

If I could go back and do it again, I would have gotten an outift made for preemies...all of the other ones simply are way too big when they are first born!!! The Gap sells nice preemie outfits...just a suggestion! We took Nick home in cute Tommy Hilfiger outfit..that looked so funny cause it was so big!

Re: Coming Home from the Hospital Outfit
I was wondering the same thing since I am also due in late Feb. I was planning on waiting until early January to buy an outfit or two for coming home. After my shower, I will figure out if I need some winter stuff to stock up on. I saw a lot of cute stuff in Macys in the city and figure they have a decent return policy as well.
My friend said not to wait too long because she said by February all the spring lines are out - she had that issue when she went to help out her sister who was having a baby in early March last year.
What type of warm clothing should I get for the baby? What is the best type of clothing for a newborn in Feb-Mar?

Niecy: I'm due 3 days after you! It's starting to feel a lot more real now, we have the nursery half done. The time is starting to go really fast!
I was also wondering about what kind of clothes to get. I figured I'd get a winter outfit and I have a Bundle Me for the car seat rather than a bunting. Bundle Me
Let me know what you end up deciding to get.

I agree with the preemie thing for the coming home outfit, angela was 8 lbs 4 oz, and all the newborn clothes still seemed so huge on her!

Wow - we are so close together. I registered for the same bundle me so hopefully at my shower I will get it - if not I will buy it. WE will have to share ideas. Did you have a shower yet? (or are you having one?)

I had my shower in November (ILs were up from Florida then.) I didn't want one, but my grandmother was in a coma for my bridal shower and was so excited for this one I couldn't say no. I got all the big ticket stuff, so that was good. Are you/did you have your shower?
This weekend DH & I picked up this sweater, etc. to bring the baby home in, we got 0-3 months. There are also mittens that match that I couldn't find on the website.
Sweater:
Hat:
Booties:
I was going to pick up a little pair of jeans or something to go with it.
I've been starting to feel very tired again. Did your belly button pop? Mine hasn't yet, maybe it won't? How do you feel?

I'm sorry to butt in. But that is a really cute outfit. I am def no baby expert since I don't have one but I have a niece and lots of little cousins and they usually send babies home in a onesie or something to that effect. Usually the umbilical cord hasn't fallen off yet so anything by the bell button area will irritate it.
Sorry to give my 2 cents! But just wanted to give an opinion. The outfit is adorable though!
