Coming to Long Island after Memorial Day...
My fiance and I will be coming up to LI soon so we could meet with some photographers. Our wedding isn't until August of next year. Should we meet with anyone else besides the photographer, or is it too soon??? We were thinking maybe meet with the Catholic Priest we were interested in. Should we see anyone else? Limos, Florists??? Any info would help! Thanks again!

Are you going to have a band? If you are, you should consider checking some out while you are in town. The best bands book up fast for the spring/summer! Limos and florists you can wait on, since they are somewhat interchangable.

I would meet with the priest to see if there is no problem with the day of the ceremony. I would talk to a couple of photographers, just to get a feel of the packages and the prices. Limos, I would browse. I'm getting married next July and I have the church and recept. hall booked since last yr. Limos since Feb. and photographer this month, band is going to be soon. Dresses I plan on doing this summer and all the other things. I would start looking only b/c alot of ppl book a yr. in advance or more like I did. Good Luck

Hi Valenia, No we're not having a band, We're having a DJ. We already booked him. So, so far we have the reception hall and a DJ, that's it.

Hi Julybride02, Yeah we have about 4-5 photographers we want to look at. We most likely are going to have to put a deposit down on one of them when we're up there since we don't know when the next time we'll be in NY. We're paying for the wedding ourselves and everytime we go to NY it costs a lot of money, so it just hurts the money we're trying to save. Anyway, we get to do all this in 2-3 days. We need to get back down here to work. :( Talk about busy! :) Thanks!

Melissa it`s never too early to book the main vendors especially since you live out of town. A lot of the photographers we went to see were already booked on our date and that was almost 16 months before the wedding. Also remember most vendors work weekends so it`s probably more convenient to go during the week.Welcome New Vendors
