Complete change of plans

After a lot of soul-searching, FH and I have agreed to completely scrap our wedding plans, and go with a much smaller affair.

This being said, is there any venue that would hold a Sunday afternoon cocktail reception for 30-50? Right now that's the only criterion I have.

Sea Cliff Manor does have low minimums but not quite that low (and I think the room would be too big for such a small party). Maybe Westbury Manor and Swan Club? Both have smaller rooms.

Look into Prime restaurant in Huntington also - I hear it's beautiful for weddings!

I would look into a restaurant. Try The View in Oakdale. I think they have pricing on their website.

The View in Oakdale looks wonderful! I see that they have a cocktail reception option that's certainly doable in our budget. I'll run it by FH when he gets home from work.

I had a cocktail reception at Three Village Inn but there was a 75 person minimum, they do offer a sit down dinner for 50 people if i remember correctly. Prices and menus are on there web site.

My aunt got married at The View (then the Riverview so different owners at the time). It is beautiful and the outside area was so nice outside during the day. I believe they may be closed through March right now though. I think I remember hearing they got hit pretty bad with the storm so after renovations it will look even better I'm sure.

I think Thatched Cottage also has a smaller room, not sure how many it holds though.

Try sunset harbour in patchogue we are having 60 guests, they would give you the club room. Also you can try three village inn and the snapper inn. Their prices are reasonable and they do smaller affairs. Mediterranean manor would also do a smaller affair for cocktail.

I was going to suggest the George Washington Manor in Roslyn, but I just noticed that they've changed owners and had a relaunch as Hendrick's Tavern. Not sure if they will still accommodate a small wedding, but it might not hurt to ask!
