Completely Numb

Original post by Dani777

Ok...so I have been on cloud nine for the past few days in which NOTHING was getting me down. I was bouncing off the walls and everything seemed to be falling into place.

.....

Until last night...

I lost my brother ... not in a literal sense, but just that I want nothing to do with him ever again in my life...

Ok, so I will try to sum it all up in as little as possible...
He moved to North Carolina on Christmas Eve to live with his girlfriend...all fine on my end...just as long as he was happy. Sure enough he was the one that was going to walk me down the aisle - in which he was soo excited about. Now, we were always super close...were always able to talk about anything and everything...but once he moved he stopped sharing so much information with me...the emails got shorter and he wasn't calling me back whenever I called him.

He was supposed to come this past Sunday to spend the week with me so I can finally meet his new love of his life....

He called and asked to come Tuesday or Wednesday...I sid that was fine and all that....

He comes here last night... his 'girlfriend' doesnt like my apartment and couldn't stand it...didn't like the way my air freshener smelt or something. And, my brother said that his old room wasn't cleaned out enogh. Meanwhile - I alredy told him his old room was packed out b/c we were moving out right after the wedding...he said it was no big deal.

We had to meet with the Pastor last night...and when we were done...I had a million calls and texts from my Mom freaking out that he left. When I called ihm to find out what was going on, he said he didn't feel 'welcomed' and all that and he was going home...and that was it.
He said that my Mom should walk me down the aisle b/c he needed time to think of wanting to do it or not.
I told him that if he needed to 'think' about it after being soo happy about it in the past, when I have done NOTHING wrong...

So more or less the past day and a half has been a total nightmare...
Noe one single phone call or anyting from him since last night....

So I took his name off the tux rental place...my brother in law will be walking me down the aisle now.

I'm 150% crushed and just trying to get by...with only TWO DAYS beforfe my wedding...I need some hugs to help cheer myself up. I have been doing pretty well...but I just needed to get this out. FH doesn't even want hiim to show up...and if he does then he'll have him escorted out. I just can't get over that I have lost my brother b/c of his girlfriend for NO reason what-so-ever...

I just don't get what happened....

Re: Completely Numb

Don't let ANYTHING ruin your day. You have waited too long and have too much to celebrate. Try not to even think about it, just focus on what the day means and how many people ARE there for you, you can't let one person spoil your happiness no matter who it is. You sound like you have a great attitude about it considering, so just enjoy yourself and sorry you have to deal with this crap at all.

Re: Completely Numb

aw hun I feel terrible you do not deserve this especially right before your wedding when you should be on cloud 9 all the way. Sometimes things are so weird, he is going to regret doing that to you for the rest of his life. Keep your head up, you did nothing wrong its all him for some reason..

Hey Sweetie! Sending you TONS of hugs this morning. Keep a good attitude, I'm glad you realize that this BEAUTIFUL time is all about YOU AND FH!!!! Nothing can get in your way and no one will put a damper on things. Your brother's garbage has nothing to do with you, he will regret this so much. Time heals all things and I really hope that in time he realizes his HUGE mistake and works to earn back your love and trust. It's not right what he has done but luckily you have lots of people who love you and who can't wait for your AMAZING butterfly filled wedding.

Oh Dani, I'm so sorry, I don't even know what to say!!! Just know that I will be thinking about you, and I know that this is harder said that done, but the most imprtant thing is that you will be marrying you best friend! Hopefully everything will work out!

Re: Completely Numb

Wow that is ridiculous. I am sure in time things will blow over but this was very selfish and hurtful of your brother and I think it is absolutely awful that he is doing this to you just 2 days before your wedding. I am so so sorry! I am here if you need me!

Re: Completely Numb

I'm so sorry you are dealing with this. A girlfriend like that will not last. And when you do things like this to family, no good will com to you. She's probably just jealous. You are going to have a great wedding. Just put it out of your mind for now.

Re: Completely Numb

OMG Dani!! I feel horrible with what you are going through... as if this whole wedding isn't stressful enough and emotional enough being that your father passed away and you gave the honor of walking you down the isle to your brother ... how dare he even be so inconsiderate to you ... I am at loss for words ... At this point your FH is right about escorting him out if he shows up because there is no excuse for that kind of behavior this is your day and he should have been HONORED to have taken the place of your father!!! Maybe you should have your mom walk you down the isle because she seems like the one that is really there for you ... I do wish you the best on your day, I want to know about everything afterwards!!
And P.S. ... did you make those crypacks ???
