Completely Numb

Original post by Dani777

Ok...so I have been on cloud nine for the past few days in which NOTHING was getting me down. I was bouncing off the walls and everything seemed to be falling into place.

.....

Until last night...

I lost my brother ... not in a literal sense, but just that I want nothing to do with him ever again in my life...

Ok, so I will try to sum it all up in as little as possible...
He moved to North Carolina on Christmas Eve to live with his girlfriend...all fine on my end...just as long as he was happy. Sure enough he was the one that was going to walk me down the aisle - in which he was soo excited about. Now, we were always super close...were always able to talk about anything and everything...but once he moved he stopped sharing so much information with me...the emails got shorter and he wasn't calling me back whenever I called him.

He was supposed to come this past Sunday to spend the week with me so I can finally meet his new love of his life....

He called and asked to come Tuesday or Wednesday...I sid that was fine and all that....

He comes here last night... his 'girlfriend' doesnt like my apartment and couldn't stand it...didn't like the way my air freshener smelt or something. And, my brother said that his old room wasn't cleaned out enogh. Meanwhile - I alredy told him his old room was packed out b/c we were moving out right after the wedding...he said it was no big deal.

We had to meet with the Pastor last night...and when we were done...I had a million calls and texts from my Mom freaking out that he left. When I called ihm to find out what was going on, he said he didn't feel 'welcomed' and all that and he was going home...and that was it.
He said that my Mom should walk me down the aisle b/c he needed time to think of wanting to do it or not.
I told him that if he needed to 'think' about it after being soo happy about it in the past, when I have done NOTHING wrong...

So more or less the past day and a half has been a total nightmare...
Noe one single phone call or anyting from him since last night....

So I took his name off the tux rental place...my brother in law will be walking me down the aisle now.

I'm 150% crushed and just trying to get by...with only TWO DAYS beforfe my wedding...I need some hugs to help cheer myself up. I have been doing pretty well...but I just needed to get this out. FH doesn't even want hiim to show up...and if he does then he'll have him escorted out. I just can't get over that I have lost my brother b/c of his girlfriend for NO reason what-so-ever...

I just don't get what happened....

Re: Completely Numb

OMG.............. you cannot let this ruin your wedding. It sounds like this new girl has complete and total control over him. Get through your wedding first, make it happy and do not think about this at all. After the wedding you can work on this and try to get him back. Don't worry! Everything will work out, but please do not let this ruin your special day...

Dani, I am SO sorry to hear this! I got to say one thing- what goes around comes around (Or is it vice versa the saying?) Well, you get the point. One day, he will need you and you won't be there for him. He is going to regret this.

At the same time though, please just remember that it is your wedding day and that you need to keep your chin up and be happy. Hang in there hun. You are getting married in 2 DAYS!!!!!!!

I'm so sorry this is happening to you. All I can say is focus on yourself right now. Your brother should hopefully come to his senses and be at his sister's wedding. Otherwise, you have your mom and other family to support you. And just remember - you're marrying the person you love most in the world - and that's all that matters.

I'm so sorry Dani. This is very hurtful only a few days before your wedding. You are doing the right thing though. One day he will realize how wrong he was and be very very sorry. And what a CUN.T his girlfriend is!!!! That won't last. I'm sorry you have to deal with this, but keep your chin up just like you are!!! Everything is going to be amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dani I'm soooo sorry this happened to you two days before your wedding! I can't believe this, its so sad. He is making such a big mistake and I can guarantee that once the rose colored glasses come off he will see what a biotch this girl is and just how big a mistake it was and regret it! I hope he comes to his senses sooner then later.

Re: Completely Numb

Im soooo sorry Dani.... personally by what you wrote I think its his new girlfriend, if like you say you guys were always super close, it seems like shes putting those thoughts in his head, and obviously hes believing them, especially how he said his room being packed was fine, and then she saw it and couldnt deal or something.

just my oponion hang in there girly

Re: Completely Numb

This is something that your brother will regret the rest of his life. Hopefully, he will come to his senses and show up to walk you down the aisle. If he does, I would have him and your wonderful brother-in-law both walk you down the aisle.

Re: Completely Numb

aww Dani i'm sorry to hear this. LIke the PP said. He will regret it. I wonder if she had an influence on making him back out.

Dont worry about him now, take care of yourself. The best day of your life is about to happen in 2 days.

I would let Frank and the other BM know if he shows up to make sure he's escorted out.

Who is your BM by the way?

Wow.....I am so sorry about all this....he should have never done this to you right before your big day! Hopefully someday he will come around and realize that he was wrong and try to make it up to you! Stay strong and try not to let anything ruin your day.......it goes by so fast and you have worked so hard planning it!!!

It sounds like he is in an abusive relationship and that his girlfriend is manipulating him.

oh dani im so sorry....this is just terrible..

i cant imagine what u r going through...

my best advice to u right now is to just 4 get it..i know its nearly impossible but with 2 days to go its not fair to u or fh to have this ruin ur day...u deserve a beautiful day and i have no idea why he would do this to u...u cant think bout it now..just go with the flow as hard as it is..i know its hard but u can do it..

i cant imagine why he would do this but i can tell u he is going to regret this for the rest of his life...fm me anytime if u want to talk
