so the security guy in my building just said to me that im going to age very gracefully so i started laughing and i guess i looked confused so he says yeah - you look fresh out of high school - now i dont know if he was just being nosey and wanted me to say my age or if he really thought i was like 18 but come on - at least say i look like i am out of college - 21 is a little better than 18 so i laughed at him and i said 'thats because im so short' who the hell says that? but really, i think if i was taller people would assume i was older oh well

hahah aww..dont worry ppl always think im 18..but im 23..not that its far off..but they always think im in HS! and Im short as well so i def agree!!!

i'd take it as a compliment. I'm 28 and i always get ID'd and get a hard time about looking young- its only recently that i've really started to appreciate it! I'm really tall too so i dont think the height matters

take it as a compliment... people ask me all the time if im old enough to be a nurse! but you just have to smile and say thank u.. they think they are complimenting you but dont realize that it can be rude or even upsetting.

oh god me too! i am PETRIFIED of that! its bad because i even catch myself staring when i see girls that look young and then im like oh god maybe she is my age or even older than me - so even i am guilty of it!
i always tell FH that i pray that my wedding band and e-ring still fit when im pregnant so i can at least look married when people are staring at me because im positive im going to get stared at

Take it as a compliment! I'm 28 and people always think I'm younger than i am. Once I was sitting in a classroom with a bunch of 3rd graders and a women walked in and wanted to know where the student teacher was!!!!!Now come on......I dont look like a 3rd grader!!!!

I so relate, and I know its a compliment but I tend to feel offended too. The other day a Verizon dude knocked on the door of the house that FH and I OWN and when I opened up he asked for my mother! I looked so annoyed and said I'm the homeowner, and he was stunned.

hahahah i get that all the time. I teach 4th grade and whenever someone walks in they always ask where I am. One day my kids and I were going on a camping trip and I wore sneakers, jeans and a tshirt. My kids said I look 14 and wanted to hook me up with some UPS driver driving by.

Compliment!!!!!!!! Trust me. Take them for as long as they come. Its like when you are younger all you want to do is be older and when you are older you wish you were younger (or at least looked younger).
I got id'd for beer a few weeks ago. When the guy looked at my license he looked up and said 'take it as a compliment' -- i think he was embarrassed since I am just shy of 30!

I totally understand i get that all the time and i hate it. Older people are always like oh thats soo good that people say you look young but honestly it annoys me.I also hate when people refer to you as a kid im like hello im 25 how old do i have to be to not be a kid lol
