From their website they look like a great place to work. I may be looking for a new job on LI and wondered if it really is a good employer.
If anyone works there, could you tell me: do they really promote from within? Encourage growth? Is it cut-throat?

My sister works there. Yes, they really are a great place to work. She's very happy. They promote from within and it's hard to get in b/c so many people apply there.
She has a baby and they have day care there, but it's not like just any day care, it's Montessori-trained teachers! It's wonderful!!
She's never mentioned any feeling that it's a cut throat mentality there. If you have an opportunity to get in, TAKE IT!! They really do treat their employees well. Imagine that!!!!
