Computer Question

Does anyone know what altiris is? A friend of mine noticed the icon on her computer at work and someone told her it is a spyware program that tracks internet use and now she is scared to go on the internet...does anyone know what this is and if its true?

It looks like its a piece of software that IT people use to manage desktops at the job.

It can probably track everything you do if they wanted to do that.
