Comsewogue school district

Comsewogue school district

Anyone know anything about this SD, fh and i are starting to look at houses and just want to know about the sd...

I know people who's kids have gone there. I think its a decent district. I know they have a great lacrosse team

They are middle of the road. Not bad, not the best. I know a TON of couples who start out there. In fact, I teach in Smithtown and a lot of the teachers' kids go there.

I work there at the middle school and one of the elementary schools. I think it is a great district has a lot of programs for struggling students...not too many for gifted students but they do have some. It is pretty mixed in terms of economic standing...we have some very very poor and very very wealthy. But it is a really nice small community. FM if you need any more info!!!!
Oh a lot of the teachers I work with either live in the district or we are allowed to bring our kids to the district even if we don't live within the community and many teachers do that so I think that says a lot.

I graduated from Comsewogue and lived in Port Jeff Station for 24 yrs. It is a good area..not the best-but definately not the worst. My mother still lives in Port Jeff Station and will probably never move :) You'll be fine!! Good luck

I'm doing rhe house search as well and found a great resource!! neighborhoodscout.com ... they will give a # to each town on how their school districts are... really helpful stuff for someone who knows little about LI
