Hi! My fiance and I are thinking about looking into buying a condo or co-op. I know that you have to pay a maintenance fee on top of the mortgage but was wondering just how much the maintenance fees are (I know they vary from building to building). Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Condo/Co-op Maintenance fees
I have a 2 bed co-op and my mantainence fee is 708 per month this includes heat and taxes and we have a gym and indoor/outdoor pool but I still think its ridiculous.

Re: Condo/Co-op Maintenance fees
Try having a ONE bedroom (very large, though) without a gym or pool, and paying very close to $800 a month! But in all honestly, my apartment is beautiful and it's worth it.

Re: Condo/Co-op Maintenance fees
For our townhouse/condo the maintence is $209 and includes all outside maintanence, snow removal/gardening, clubhouse (workout room, rec. rooms), pool, tennis courts, and playground. Oh, and water too. Since it's a condo we pay our own taxes.

We have a 2BR co-op in Valley Stream. Our maintenance is $999 WITH star, but it includes our heat, water, gas, snow removal, garbage removal and taxes (which are about 60 something % tax deductible).

I was thinking the same...but it seems like not many people on the board live out this way-I'm in Manorville.

Re: Condo/Co-op Maintenance fees
Thanks for all of the responses! I guess the fees don't seem that high if they include utilities. There's so much to think about!!!
