Did FH make his sacraments? You may not have to do all that... unless you want to make the sacraments for the sake of religion, that's a different story...

Re: confirmation...
In my church all we needed was the baptismal certificate since we aren't having a full mass. Maybe you could talk to them and see if they can do the ceremony only?

Re: confirmation...
Like I said on FB.... it's soooo boring lol. As far as the cost we haven't had to pay for anything. They gave us the bible and some other book and things without having to pay.
If you have to do you communion also then you might finish 1 month sooner. I don't know if all churches work the same way but for us the people who needed to be baptized, receive communion and be confirmed already had all 3 or 2 sacraments done the same day during the Easter vigil. Basically they are done and those of us who only need to be confirmed will do so during the Pentecost vigil on May 22nd.

Re: confirmation...
Oh and also like the other girls said find out if you have to do it. FH is not Catholic but he is Christian (Pentecostal) and baptized (as a Catholic when he was a baby and as Pentecostal in his 20's) so he just needs his baptismal certificate and the bishop I believe has to sign off okaying the inter-faith marriage so we can be married in the church. Of course because he isn't Catholic (anymore) we can't (and don't want) have a full mass.

in most churches now you don't need your confirmation just baptism and communion at least that's what happened for my friend...so if you have that you should be good..at least that's how it it was for her church id double check to make sure though bc all churches can be diff

Re: confirmation...
call and confirm what is involved. but if your getting married next year, you should have time to do this. i know for confirmation classes in my area they were free. you just had to sign up and they were about 8 months long.

Tell me about it! FH is catholic and I don't practice anything. I was not against converting for him/our future family but it is TOO much to add to my plate before the wedding. Researching it was even stressing me out!!!
I am lucky that FH's family did not end up minding we get married at the RH.

Re: confirmation...
I am Roman Catholic, and FH is Lutheran, I needed to show my baptism and confirmation papers, and FH had to show his baptism certificate.
I believe if FH has his confirmation and baptism, then you need to be baptised.
