I am not catholic so i know nothing about that! lol well whatever. i am with you Kathleen i am getting married because i want to be with steve forever! We are having the church because thats what i have always wanted and because it will be alot less streeful as far as the families go! Also it is alot easier for steve to come into the lutheran church than for me to go into the catholic. So we are having it at a lutheran church. Its so much easier mentally and finacially ( my church doesnt make you pay a 'donation')
Thanks for the advice, Heather! It's nice to know that I'm not crazy for having these feelings. I still have 3 more classes left and the confirmation itself...who knows...we shall see...

Well...thats the thing I WAS raised Catholic...baptised, communion...youth group...I even played the flute for like 5 years at church every sunday...I kinda went with the flow I guess...now that I'm older and understand what its all about...I realize...I don't have 'faith'...I don't pray. I don't go to church anymore...I don't really know what I'm trying to say...I'm just trying to understand what people with faith have. What makes them believe. I spoke to my FMIL on my way home from the class and she has a tremendous amount of faith and tried to explain it to me and I just didn't get it. Sorry girls...if this is too much...I certainly don't need to continue. I'm just a facts kind of person and I like concrete answers I guess...
Honestly, I have always have faith,, I think its just in me...I've always been interested in reading about it., etc...And dont get me wrong...I have questions that dont have solid answers..but I have found that the Faith helps me get through difficult times., it makes me a better person.
Even if there is no one listening ....Praying gives you hope....and IMO I think its a good foundation for everyone to have.
That makes sense...and my FMIL basically said the same thing in so many words...like I said to Heather...I still have 3 more classes and the confirmation itself...maybe some of it will make sense to me. Thanks for your honesty..I know this can be a tough discussion for some and my FH begged me not to start this thread saying I would cause all kinds of problems...I knew you girls could handle it... None of you have ever let me down...YOU GIRLS ROCK!!!!!!
