Confronted FMIL last night

So some of you might know we were having an issue with FMIL and her guest list being too big. Last night FH got her on the phone and said you have to limit it. She started insisting on seeing OUR guest list and told FH that we would just have to limit our list-WHAT!? We are paying for EVERYTHING!! She completely freaked out cursed at FH and hung up on him. This woman is unbelievable. God give me strengh to deal with her and her crap for the rest of my life!

My FMIL kept ading people but she's giving us a lot of money. FH made her limit it because she'd be taking money away from us if she kept adding so she did her best- that still ment inviting over 100 people...many are saying yes too b/c people are curious to see our wedding- he's Indian so her 100 or so is small....

You are paying- stick to your ground and i'm glad that your FH is on your side- that's where he belongs. If she chips in that's another story but FH and I had size limits in our room too...

My FMIL informed us she added more people to the list (I didn't realize they weren't on the list because she just said a name). So FH told her NO MORE, the list is closed. He's also taking some people off the list. They are also contributing as well but, like it was said above, taking away from us. My FH and I have been in disagreement about inviting a couple we're friendly with, his friend's sister and her husband. I told him just go for it because we're inviting all of these people we have no clue who they are, 2 more people at this point won't kill us.

That's the one bad thing about getting married at the Hyatt, the upper limit is around 800 (we're nowhere near there) but, you can't say there's no more room.

Please try to stay as far away from her as you possibly can until October. We'd hate to start up a 'bail a bride out of jail' thread.
