Hmmm Jess does that mean you have to do Pre-Cana?

Yes, FH said I do! I don't even know what pre-cana is and if I'm doing a pre cana does that mean there is a cana and then a post-cana? What is a cana anyway?

pre cana is like a class at your church that couples must partake in beofre they are 'allowed' to get married in a church

lol see this thread did it too. lol went tottaly off topic!! lol but its better that way cause then what needs to be said gets said and it doesnt turn into a huge thing like the 'dog thread'

Anyways pretty much an FM was sent out to me and someone else saying really horrible and nasty things about someone else things people should never say and we got upset and blah blah blah end of story lol

You have to do Pre-cana?? I don't and we're using a rabbi and a priest....do you happen to know why you have to do it...and if it's just for ritual purposes or if it's actually something recognized by the church and necessary? I'm so confused now because our priest (the one we're hoping to book) didn't mention it..... P.S. We're getting married at the RH, not in a church or temple.

Yea we're getting married at the RH too. I think it's because FH is semi religious and this was his wish. I don't think we HAVE to but I'll do it if it's important to FH but he better get his butt in gear finding us pre cana classes b/c clearly I don't know anything about them. Can we find one on craig's list?

Gotcha. If your FH wants it I totally understand. Neither of us are remotely religious, it's more to appease the parents, so we're just doing the bare minimum. I was just worried that it was totally necessary and it was bad for us to skip it.
