So i just met with Tommy Tunes and they told me uplighting does not look good at the Riviera and would be a waste a money....he is the first DJ to tell me this....i saw some pictues with uplighting for other DJS and it looked good to me...
what do you ladies think

you kind of need a neutral color to shine the lighting on otherwise it won't show
and they have no reason to lie to you about it...they technically could lie and say do uplighting, take your money knowing that it wont look good
I might have to take their rec seriously being that they are swaying you awayyyy from adding this on

I just looked on youtube and I didn't think it looked bad. But it is strange that they thought it would look bad. Maybe they were confused about your RH

up light just gives a dramtic look! and alot of people like that.. im getting it because i love the whole room to look a lot different!

I love the uplighting. I would totally go for it!
We were actually going to book with the Riviera [but because of our size guest list, we couldnt], but we would of definetly had uplighting.

i agree that it says something that he reommended you don't 'waste your money' on it because he could have just taken your money and had you been really upset on the day of the wedding...

I think this LI Sound's setup - we're booked with them and we upgraded to that fancy schmancy booth. We are getting uplighting with them and they have done uplighting at the riviera many times before. I think it looks great! And the Riviera definitely needs a little something to lighten it up after the sun goes down.
