confused about limos and where cars go

ok so i have never been in a bridal party as i am the first one of my family and close friends getting married. . .

how many limos do you need in a day?

-one for FH and his family and groomsmen to the church
-a limo for my parents and i to get to the church
-one for bridesmaids limo to get to the church
-a limo to get to RH with FH
- limo for bridal party to get to FH

then my other question is where does everyone leave their cars.... i was thinking that they could drop it off my the RH in the morning and then the two limos pick them up and bring them to my house and FH house? is that what is normal?

It's really up to you how many limos you have. I would say most brides have between 1 - 3 limos.

Depending on the size of your BP, what I would do is have two limos.
- One limo can pick up the guys, drop them off at the church, and then pick up the girls and drop them off too. If everyone is really far from eachother and the church it may not be possible to use one limo for the whole bridal party.
- Another limo can bring you and your parents to the church.

These same 2 limos could then be used to bring you, FH and your bridal party to take pictures and to bring the bridal party to the RH.

Where everyone leaves their cars is another issue. Probably the best thing for the bridal party to do is leave their cars at the RH in the morning (if possible). Then, the groomsmen should all go to where FH is getting ready and bridesmaids should go to where you're getting ready. It's probably best if the GM and BMs could find their own ride to yours and FH's house because otherwise the limo is going to charge you for the extra time it takes to pick up and drop off (maybe friends could help or taxi). The GM and BM will then get picked up at your house and FH's house by the limo when it is time to go to the church for the ceremony.

HTH!

We are getting only 2 cars the big one will pick up fh and the gms and his parents then bring them to the chruch and then it come get my girls then me and my parents will be going in the royals.

I would imagine that each person in the party would have a guest who will drop them off and be going to the wedding to take them home

I found this extremely confusing, too, but it doesn't have to be!

To eliminate all confusion, I rented a party bus. We're all going together, my parents, the in-laws, the WP, and the B&G. If yo were to do it this way, the men are picked up and dropped off at the ceremony location then you and the ladies are picked up and dropped off at the ceremony location and you all leave together to go to the RH. I do not want my guests to leave their cars at the RH simply because we are all drinkers. If they drink, I don't want them to drive home. We will also be having coach buses so they can take that home or they can take a cab, rent a hotel, stay at a friend's house, or car pool with a designated driver.

But this isn't for everyone!

An alternative would be to get 2 limos (or 3 if you want a private limo for you and FH after the ceremony!). You would get one limo for FH and GMs to get to the ceremony (big enough to fit you and the WP on the way to RH) and then a limo for your parents and FILs. You'd then take the limo for your parents to the ceremony location along with your parents. It is tradition for the bride to ride with her father to the ceremony location. If you're having a 3rd limo for you and FH only then you can take that limo to the ceremony site with your dad and then send the BP and your mom into the 2nd limo (the one for the parents) to get to the ceremony location.

Boy that sounds really confusing, but it's not! It's the most logical way to do it. Thanks Joe at camelot for explaining all of this very slowly to me!
