So I bought my dress from Macys in April and Macys got my wedding date wrong, they thought it was 2007 instead of 2008 and my dress came in August. I was told I was not able to see my dress until it was closer to my wedding date.
I was at macys waiting for my friend so I went to see if I could see my dress and the woman said yes. when the women took it out of the bag the dress was not what I thought it was going to look like, instead of an off white (my dress is supposed to be ivory) it was a pee pee yellow. I was a little shocked me when I saw the dress and I didnt know what to say so I left.
i wonder if they ordered the wrong color or if the girl that showed me the original dress thought the dress was ivory and it wasnt.Now i'm thinking about the dress and I think that there is something wrong. What should I do? Does anyone have a picture of a Demetrios dress in ivory?

That does sound strange....There has to be a big mistake. Im assuming your dress is by demetrios if you ordered it from Macys. Their ivory is a bit yellowish in appearance but far from pee yellow. I would definitely schedule an appt to discuss the color of the dress and tell them that it is not ivory, it is YELLOW!

I know what you;re going through bc i;ve been going crazy with my dress too. i ordered a ML dress and then when it came in I thought this doesnt look like the dress that I tried on. Everyone is telling me I'm going crazy b/c of wedding jitters. I dont know anymore. But just go to a store where they have demetrios to compare.

I would go back to Macy's and talk to them. They might have gotten it wrong. Don't wait to long. Cause you will have to order a new one and you want to make sure it come sin on time.

I know Centereach Bridal carries Demetrios gowns....you could try going there and telling them that you like a particular dress and ask about the colors

Definetely go talk to them - if you don't like how it looks now, you won't like how it looks on.
Whether they ordered the wrong color or whether something happened to the fabric, Ivory def doesn't look like pee pee yellow.

I know its the wrong dress color cause I asked specifically for the same color as the sample dress. Yes I know the sample dress has been tried on a lot and it might be a little gray but I dont think all the dirt woul cover up the the pee yellow. I'm going to make an appointment and see when I can see my dress again and hopefully my sister will come so she can be the second set of eyes. (they wont let me see the dress without an appointment and they've turn me down a couple of times because its not close to my wedding date)

the dress i tried on is a demetrios dress as well - the sample was in ivory and it looked white to me - i wanted a really white dress but i felt like the ivory was white enough....it didnt even look ivory to me.....def not pee yellow!

Well i know the dress I had tried on was labled ivory in one shop and it was clearly white. When I asked to see a sample of all the colors it came in it was VERY obvious that it was white and I ordered ivory.
Being that you didn't see a sample I would request a sample of your dress from Macys from the manufacturer and then you will find out right away if there is an error. Also the color should be on recipt.
