I'm getting married at the RH in a non-denomintational ceremony. I plan to have the bm's and groomsmen walk down together. Since the best man stays with FH, does the MOH walk down alone? Also, I'm not sure about what's supposed to happen with my mom or FH's parents. Do they walk down officially? What about grandparents? 12 days to my wedding and I feel like I should know this already!

Re: Confused about processional
As MOH, I walked down alone in weddings.
Grooms parents - seen them walk / seat themselves before BP processional...
Brides Parents - usually walk bride down... if just father is escorting bride, I've seen a groomsmen usher MOB and grandparents after the Grooms parents / grandparents and before returning to for BP processional
Your Officiant usally goes over all of this, but you can do it any way you want / no set rules.

Re: Confused about processional
At the wedding I went to on friday. The gandparents and both set of parents walked down the aisle before the groom (excluding the bride father who walked her down) and his best man. Then came the BP the Moh walked down by herself.

Re: Confused about processional
I used to be a wedding coordinator at a nondenominational chapel and this is the most traditional way:
Grandparents come down as transition between last guests and the official processional.
Then, you can have special music for parents: grooms' parents first, followed by bride's mother (escorted by male of her choice - i.e. your brother or cousin, can be in the bridal party, but doesn't have to be. If the usher is in the bridal party, then he loops around side aisle back up to meet everyone for his official walk down).
Music change for the bridal party - your pairs of bm's and groomsmen, followed by maid of honor walking in alone, and then the kids, if any.
Music change for bride escorted by her father
You can also have grandparents walk down to the special parent music, but they are always BEFORE the parents.
The RECESSIONAL is the opposite order: b/g, moh/bm, bp, brides' parents, grooms' parents, grandparents, officiant, rest of guests\\Hope this helps!

Re: Confused about processional
Thanks for all the advice. It definitely helps. One last question, FH and I each have a grandmother that do not get around well. Should we have them seated throughout (not officially walk in or out)? And then is it fair for my other grandparents to be the only ones part of the processional/recessional?

Re: Confused about processional
I think you should ask those g'parents how they feel about it. I went to a wedding where a g'mother was in a wheelchair,,but she told us that she had dreamed of coming down the aisle at her g'daughter's wedding, she wanted to be a part in the processional.. so her husband pushed her down the aisle. It was very touching.
