Can anybody tell me anything about this SD, the area, anything at all?

From what I know it's your average school district. I only know it from my friends who all went there. I'm not sure, but I would say it's your average middle class area. My friends all loved it.

We're in Connetquot SD and it's supposed to be very good. It's a nice area - A small corner of Sayville, Bohemia and I think part of Ronkonkoma. In some of the recent state reports the students scored higher than Sayville schools in some areas, and Sayville is considered a very desireable district.
When we bought our house, one of the delays was that the seller was trying to find a place within the district so her son could stay in the SD.
I took a continuing ed class at the high school in Bohemia and it's huge. They were in the process of doing some work on it too.
They are also asking for an almost 10% increase in the budget That would raise my taxes about $500 and I'm not happy about that!

I've heard it's pretty good...DH graduated from there...nice area to live...Oakdale, parts of Ronkonkoma

I went to Connetquot from 8th grade thru 12th and I loved it...The area is pretty good...the Oakdale area is more 'upper' class then Ronkonkoma but Ronkonkoma is nice as well( thats where I lived). I think the school district was great, lots of activities, no worry about violence or anything like that....Good luck!!!
