We looked in that SD basically b/c we were looking in Ronkonkoma/Lake Ronkonkoma. The 2 SD in that area are Sachem and Connequot. From my research, Connequot (as I remember) is a good SD but Sachen is ranked higher. However, Connequot is a lot smaller than Sachem so it depends on what you find important.

We started off looking on the north shore of Suffolk County, but now we're looking pretty much everywhere in Suffolk County that is in a good school district! We are still partial to the Sayville area, Port Jeff, Three Village, Mt. Sinai/Miller Place, and Wading River though.

To answer your question, Connetquot is a good district, but I'm biased.

Our son is in the Connetquot school district and I am very pleased so far. It is a smaller district compared to Sachem but that is one of the things we liked about it

We live on the north side of Sayville but are part of Connetquot school district. We don't have children in school but from what I hear it's a good district. Sayville district is also considered to be very good, and when I see the test scores come out Connetquot is right up there with Sayville - even higher in some cases.
