I'm assuming we have to call all of them for final appts, payments?
ie: my officiant, my dj and my photographer, ...i don't have anything from them saying when final payment is due?

I would call & ask. My officiant is getting paid day off. My photographer 2 weeks before (I think) and DJ is 1-2 weeks prior.

ours gave us the option of paying the day-of, which is exactly what we're doing! i need to guarantee that you're going to show up!

I'm not sure of the officiant, but generally the DJ takes final payment the day of the wedding and the photographer final payment is due when you pick up your proofs.

my band the balance was due in cash day of
officiant i paid beforehand (about 2 months)
photographer was paid 90% 2 weeks before the wedding. remaining 10% was paid when we picked up our proofs
