Contacts!!!!!!! UGH!!!!!!! NWR kinda

Ok so I cant see hehehe. I can but its all fuzzy. So I have glasses and then in May went for contacts because for my wedding i dont want to wear the glasses.

SO I have had these contacts since May 2007, and they SUCK. I cant wear makeup and curl my eyelashes I feel the contacts are like hitting my lid. Everyday I can feel them in even when I am not wearing contacts. They are alwasy so dry I feel. I am sooo pissed. I have made an appointment to go see the doctor to maybe get a diff kind.

Anyone else have problems with there contacts? The brand I use is called Biometics.

I saw that acuvue has good brands but not sure?

last winter i had eye issues also...

i got real thin contacts now - acuvue advantage - hydraclear

they are really great.. so much better than my others... i have astigmatism so i had to use thicker ones.. but these let ur eye breathe more adn you really HARDLY feel them.

Ive been wearing contacts since I was 13 years old. Definitely try Acuvue with Hydraclear. Theyve helped with my dry eye problem. Maybe they measured your eyes wrong too. They sound too big. Also what kind of rinse are you using? And are you using disposable?

Yeah the Acuvue hydraclear i looked at those online. I have to ask her. the rinse is the one I get at costco i forget the name of it. ??

I have the contacts that you can have for two weeks then you throw them away

they may not be the right size or a different brand may work better on you

I used to have a similar problem. I awalys felt them and it drove me crazy. I went back to the Dr. I think he switched the size and switched the brand to acuvue 2 and ihavent had the problem.

After i wear them a couple days - i do feel like they are cloudy no matter how much i clean them - im actaulyl thinking of switching to dailys instead of the every 2 weeks ones.

Hmmm. that def sounds like i might need that. just smaller, thiner ones. Acuvue def sounds the way to go!

Thank you for this thread! I saved it to my notebook! I want to get contacts, not for the wedding, but just for things like when we're at a waterpark...i HATE when my glasses get wet... I didn't know what brand to ask for and stuff - so just again - wanted to say thanks for this info!!!!

yeah i might have to too, cause mine are the every two week ones. I hear great things about the dailys.

Acuvue seems to be highly recommended.

Yes Oasys!!! Theyre amazing. Also, dont use RENU! Use Optifree Hydrafresh. My ee doc told me Renu is one of the harshest solutions. When I switched that up, my contacts were more pleasant!

YEAH that is what i use the RENU! ugh see!!! I should have known!!!

FH is going to kill me. I made him buy the RENU at costco for like $30.00 hehehehe oh well.

So I will ask for Acuvue Oasis and get the optifree hydrafresh solution.

i use acuvue...they are pretty good...id try those.or the advance..i think they have more moisture..

I got contacts last week for the same reason. The first pair the doctor had me try on felt terrible. They were dry and I was seeing blurry. Then I tried Acuvue and they were great. He said they are a better brand- moister, etc. HTH

def helped! Yeah looks like the majority says acuvue. now i cant wait to go get them

I just got so scared cause when i wear makeup and have the contacts in they bother me sooo much. The eyelash thing kills me. Its like i have to curl them and what i will have the contacts bother me? no way. and def could not deal with that on my wedding day!
