So i'm going to the Sandcastle tonight (apt at 730) to talk CONTRACT!!!!!!
Two questions for you girls....
Should i bring a wad of cash for the deposit, or should i just bring my check book? My mom was like....'do people still take personal checks'..and i was like OF COURSE! But, then my best friend made a point that they may not charge tax or whatever if i pay cash. What do you all think?
AND... Anything in particular i should discuss/ask them?

bring both... most places dont care about cash anymore, but some do. Id say check is a better paper trail, unless youre paying 100 percent in cash on the spot, then noone really cares if u pay cash i dont think...

I say bring both. DEFINITELY try doing the cash thing!!!!!! Even if they wont do everyone no tax they might at least do half! worth a try!!

If you want to eliminate tax you must pay the total amount in cash, however you don't need to pay the entire amount up front - there's usually installment payments every few months with only a certain minimal amount as a deposit. The second you do credit card or check for anything, you have to pay the tax so be careful. And even wehn paying in cash you get a receipt (or you should make sure you get a receipt!!!). I'm paying in cash and love it b/c it's saving me a few grand in taxes!

Crazylove, THANKS! I didnt know about that. I'm gonna bring it up with them and hopefully be able to pay in cash for the whole thing.
