oh sorry. i dont even know, im sure this mustve been done before. my apologies.

eta: personally I am Agnostic. I don't rule it out, but I don't live my life 'him' either.
I would like some proof/evidence. I ahvea hard time believing things just b/c i'm told to believe them.
plus IMO 'He' seems to be a hypocrite anyway

Question: what's the difference between an Agnostic and someone who just believes there is some sort of higher being? Not trying to be rude, I really just don't know.

That is an Agnostic. An Agnostic believes in the possibility of a higher being - not necessarily the popular definition of a higher being/god.

An Atheist, however, does not believe in a god/higher being or the possibility of one...

That's what I thought. The poll is confusing me then.

Re: controversial poll: God

I guess that makes me agnostic?? I hate people telling me what I should and shouldnt believe in and I totally agree on the hypocritical aspect of religion. This world is so messed up it just makes it really hard to believe, yet I do feel that there is something higher.

Re: controversial poll: God

I believe in God. DH believes in the 'possibility' of the existence of a higher being (mind you, he's a baptized Catholic, like me!).

He'd rather believe in evolution (or some other scientific explanation) than that we were all created by some 'higher being' but he won't rule it out.

Re: controversial poll: God

Agnostic to me, or for me means that i wont rule out that there is a God, and heaven and all that... BUT i need some kind of proof.

eta: its basically skeptism i guess

Re: controversial poll: God

Nope. Don't believe in it at all. My religion is science - I believe in evolution, and that's about it!
