Controversial Topic

Anybody watch Totally Gayer on VH1? Also who thinks this whole gay marriage is good or bad or what have you?

I have mixed feelings.

I didn't see the show but I don't think there's anything wrong with gay marraiges.

I don't see a problem with it - why can't everyone who is in love be happy? Why can't gay couples enjoy the benefits of married male-female couples. My boss and her partner flew out to Cali two weeks ago to get married - I think it's great!!!

I didn't see the thing on VH1. As far as Gay marriage goes, I think they should be allowed to. Maybe they can get this whole marriage thing because with the divorce rate in this country, it is obvious that we (heterosexuals) haven't gotten it right. Everyone condemns this whole Gay marriage but how about all those men and women who cheat on one another (adultery:deadly sin) or the men who abuse their wives or even parents who abuse their children? I also feel that this is a faith-based issue not a state one. I mean, we have the govt who forbids prayer in schools because of the whole seperation of church and state issue but now they are getting involved in marriage? I could go on and on but that's it for now.

I don't see anything wrong with it at all. I have an ongoing arguement with my parents about it who think it shouldn't be allowed.
Here is what I say:
1) Everyone needs love, and yes that includes gay people! And they should have the right to have this love officially recognized.
2) What the hell do I care? It doesn't personally affect me one way or the other.

I think they should be allowed to, doesn't it fall under '...the pursuit of happiness.'

Would you believe I read in the paper this week that some conservative politician said that by altering the definition of who can be married (man and woman) could eventually lead to people marrying animals

Has anyone ever seen the movie If These Walls Could Talk on HBO I felt so sad when the ladies nephew came and took everything these ladies had together for some ungodly amount of years.

Isn't that awful?? This is from someone I would presume to be educated and somewhat reasonable. IMO it is one thing to be against gay marraiges, but to say that it would be a segue to this ridiculous.

yes!!! so a gay couple can't get married but j. ho can get married 3 times, elizabeth taylor can get married 8 times, the list goes onnnnnnnn!!!! if you love someone and want to take the responsibility seriously, then i could care less if a person is gay. love is love...and i want to see more of it!!! if more people had love, damn, this world would be so much better!
