My FH along with his groomsmen want to wear converse for the wedding. I have mixed feelings about this. He's very laid back and loves his converse so I do want him to feel like himself that day. On the other hand, I feel like we're all going to be dressed up and that he would look so much better in shoes. What do you girls think? If we do the converse, we will also buy these as a gift to the groomsmen.

Re: Converse
I loveee this idea of converse..FH's dad actually gave them out for his gm's so I was giving hints that my FH should do the same :)
if you want, you can just have them wear the sneakers at the reception and shoes for photos!

Re: Converse
Thank you ladies. As far as colors goes, should he get the classic black and white or should he incorporate the purple?

Re: Converse
My cousin did this at her wedding. All the gm wore them. And actually showed up to the wedding on bikes. (not motorcycles) I think converse are a unique and puts a little personality into it!

Re: Converse
I love the way converse look in pictures and I think they're so cute, but in 20 years when you look back on the album, I'm wondering if you'll think the same thing.
We wanted to do it but then FH is like, it might look silly looking back on in it...

Re: Converse
FH and I were thinking about it too. He wants to do it more than I do but I am open to the idea. My parents are completely against it because they say it is a fad and that 20 years from now we will look back at the pics and we will say 'what were we thinking' which is exactly what happened with my Dad's baby blue Tony Orlando looking tuxedo
We've decided that for the ceremony and half the pics they can wear the dress shoes and for the other half of pictures and the reception they can wear the converses. Timeless and trendy all at once!!
I will be wearing shoes for the ceremony but I'm going to get my own custom ones for the reception.

Re: Converse
I love the look of sneakers with tuxes (Converse, Adidas shelltop, etc). I told FH he can do whatever he wants with the guys - he's decided to go with regular shoes but I am going to be wearing my yellow converse sneakers for the reception and our RBs are going to be wearing shelltop adidas

Re: Converse
FH wore converse for our friends wedding. The only complaint he had was that it was hard to dance because of the rubber sole. I think they look pretty cool, why not?
