Okay, so FH and his GMs (and even my dad!) are all wearing Converse Chuck Taylors with their tuxes. FH is getting measured at Mens Wearhouse right now and they have these leather converse sneakers in stock. He wants to buy them, I think they are ugly as sin. I told him not to buy them until I see them in person, but I just wanted to see what you ladies thought. He *claims* they are much nicer in person, but I'm skeptical. They look like plastic here to me! TIA!
Classic. I've seen them in person (the new ones)...if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I'm biased. I love my classic black and white chucks! But yeah, the black leather ones look too plastic like, never was a fan of sneakers that look that way.

Thank you!! I told FH that they look like plastic and he told me I hurt his feelings. He has all the all black canvas ones at home and I'm not a huge fan of those either.
I just don't like them and they cost double what the regular converse do.
And I already bought my black and white converse and put my green gems on them and everything!

wow, i agree that those leather ones are awful ....
if you want to 'hide' the fact that they're converse shoes, you might as well just buy regular tux shoes!!!

i like the classic ones better. i tired so hard to get fh to wear converse but he won't... so i got custom ones made for the bm and myself.
