Conversion rates for Honeymoon... USD to Euro/Pounds?

Does anyone know where the best place to exchange currency is???

Should we do it HERE in teh US before we go (like at a bank, or I even heard the airport has good rates) or should we do it In London/Paris (respectivly).. OR should we try to charge a lot of stuff on Credit cards for the best rates....??

credit cards more then likely will charge you an extra 2% of purchase if buying from overseas. i would call your credit card and also advise them that you 'could' be using your card there caues they will decline it automactically sometimes cause your not buying where you normally buy...

i would exchange currency overseas. depending on where you are going, they will accept us dollors in major places. us banks will not give you what you could get.

When I am out of the country I usually change over enough for pocket money- then hit ATMs and just take out whatever currency I need.

Not like I go out of the country all the time -- but, this way also- you are not carrying around a ton of cash or travelers cheques.. Although AMEX now has a Travel Cheque card that is used like a debit card-- which is also a good option.

I always have difficulty finding a bank in the US to convert to Euro or Pounds. The exchange bureaus are a rip-off. I usually wait until I get to Europe. Try to exchange it at a bank over there as they give the best rates.
