Convoluted situation...Need your help!

Convoluted situation...Need your help!

Ok Girls I will try to simplify this as much as possible that you can easily give me some advice:

FH and I are planning our own Bachelor/Bachelorette outing two nights before the wedding in the City to see the Lion King and go out to dinner.

1. Since FH and I are organizing this and not our BP that means we should pay for our own tickets to the see the show right??

2. If it doesn't mean that we should pay for ourselves, how and who would inform the BP that they should all equally split the cost of FH's and My tickets?

3. Has anyone see the Lion King and been in the Mezzanine? The only tickets avail are in upper Mezz row J, which is close to the rear. Has anyone been to see the Lion King and sat that far back??

I understand that the Lion King is a lot of Spectacle, ie big sets and characters on Stilts? Would we loose any of the effect of sitting a lil further back than we normally would?

Any advice you may have would really help! Thanks!!

TIA

the lion king is totally fine from those seats...the seats in that theater are SO close..I mean the closest I have ever experienced in a theater..that is what i remember the most about the show is the feeling of sitting on top of each other..lol..

the show is awesome and those seats are terrific..

oh yeah and i say you should pay for your own tickets...

I saw the lion king a few years ago and I was in the 3rd row. It was such a mistake to get seats that close to that show b/c a lot of the costumes are meant to be seen from a far not right on top of them. I think the seats you got are perfect! You will really enjoy the show.

I would pay for my own ticket unless your BP said something to you about paying.

I saw it with FH about a year ago, and he was reluctant and first, he's your typical watch sports all weekend kinda guy, but he loved it! I think it is a good play for a gy to see and enjoy!

no, those seats are fine. Ive seen then from those seats and you will be fine. The layout is that no matter where you are seated it will be a good view. I must say though that out of all the disney broadway shows that I have seen, I wasnt to crazy about the lion king ... I guess I expected them to come out in costume and they didnt really like in the other shows

I also think since you two are organizing it, you guys should pay for you tkts, JMO

I usually get orchestra seats but years ago went to see The Lion King and could only get Mezzanine seats - they were PERFECT. There's so much going on onstage that you want to be a little further back.

Pay for your own tickets. If your bridal party wants to pay for it, they'll offer. Otherwise, they'll prob just pay for your dinner/drinks afterwards.

haha same here! He isn't a fan of theater.. he just makes fun of all the men (he's an ***, I know lol) but he does love Phantom of the Opera and he took me to see the Nutcracker for Xmas last year (I took ballet for 15 years and it is my all time favorite) so I am starting to bring him around ... I heard the Lion King is amazing I've wanted to see it for years
